Car tyres what does all the information on the side of the tyre mean?

- 205 is the width of your tyre in millimetres
- 55 is the height of the tyre wall in mm
- R is the type of construction used to produce the tyre and stands for Radial which is the most common type of tyre.
- 16 is the diameter of your wheel in inches.
- 91 is the maximum weight allowed for that tyre. see chart below
- w is the maximum speed rating for that tyre
